STUNTMAN

Equipment Rental and Purchase Information Below

Andrew Joseph Perez is a stuntman, fight choreographer, and stunt coordinator with a specialty in working with kids. Safety always comes first before all else, and telling the story of course comes second, but keeping the experience fun and funny are a close third.

He is a certified stunt and precision driver through Rick Seaman's Motion Picture Driving Clinic, having completed Super-Stunt Level 1.

He earned his Certification as an Actor/Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors at the National Stage Combat Workshop 2012. He earned Recommended Passes in Rapier / Dagger (best scene of the workshop), Broadsword, and Unarmed.

He has trained with J. Allen Suddith, Mark "Rat" Guinn, Robert "Mac" Macdougal, Charles Currier, Geoff Alm, whip cracking with Adam Winrich, and others.

He is an expert with whips and has additional training and experience with single sword, sword and shield, katana, quarterstaff, spear, knives, tonfa, and various firearms. He has also trained as a Pro Wrestler with Total Wrestling Federation in Sacramento and with trainers from Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Perez's experience as a fight choreographer ranges from Shakespearean productions for stage to stunts for film and TV.

In addition to choreography and fight/stunt work, Perez has worked as a stage combat educator with Sacramento Theatre Company, Flying Monkey Productions, Capital Stage Company, American River College, and The Virginia Avenue Project in Los Angeles.

He has also been published in the SAFD Fight Master Magazine with his article, "When 'It's fine' means 'it isn't,' How We Can Talk Around Our Egos" in the Spring of 2016.
